Darwyyn Deyo is an Associate Professor of Economics at San Jose State University and a Senior Research Fellow at the Knee Regulatory Research Center at West Virginia University. Darwyyn also founded and serves as president for the Society for Economics and Representation Networking, which organises research productivity events for women and non-binary economists, serves as president of the Occupational Regulation Group, an affiliate society.

Darwyyn research topics in law and economics, criminal justice topics, health economics, and the history of economic thought. ​Darwyyn earned a Doctorate in Economics and a Masters in Economics from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Saint Mary's College of California.
