A Cabinet paper on a major policy can take the public service months to write, and what arrives is often cautious and thin.
Since April, The New Zealand Initiative has built a system that does this work in days. AI agents research the evidence and write a Cabinet paper. They then draft the bill, the regulatory impact analysis and the costings. Other agents challenge each draft and check its facts. The system will now be part of how the Initiative produces its policy advice.
The same approach can be applied to the work your business does every day.
Over lunch, the people who built it will give a live demonstration. Matt Burgess, former chief policy adviser to the Prime Minister, designed the system. John-Daniel Trask, founder of Autohive, built its platform with his team. They will also share practical lessons for any business looking to use AI.
